Tamworth Photography Studio – a day in the life.
People often ask me what a “typical” day in the life of a photography studio looks like – well to be honest, I’m not sure there is one.
When I look at a day last week:
The days starts at 8:30 with a clean up of the studio, a quick test of all the studio heads and then make sure all the necessary props are out for the day.
The first entrant of the day is beautiful Labrador. looking very nervous as he walks round the studio to get a feel for the place – as soon as he spots the pet toys, he’s away and playing. This gives us the perfect opportunity to shoot without the dog even being aware. Reflecting the lights off the high ceiling means the animals don’t feel the effect of the flash heads
This is then followed up by a regular client hiring the wet room to do a photo shoot with a model that does swimwear for catalogues – hardly in there an hour and got exactly what they wanted – result
Lady then in for a 3 hour boudoir shoot for her husband – very nervous – never done anything like it before, but recommended by a friend that came here a few months ago. Set ourselves some very specific shots that flattered her and got the results we wanted.
Then……….OMG chaos for 2 hours with a kids birthday party……..boy did they have some fun……and eat some food lol
Very quick turnaround then – all hands to the pump to get everything cleaned up
Then wrap the evening off with the local camera club coming in for their weekly meeting – a bit of a change of venue to the studio. They had a great time and even managed to finish off the spare food from the party
All in all a very busy but productive day
( oh and somewhere in there we booked 3 weddings and a couple of pet shoots )
