Through our work with theatre companies, by default we get a lot of actors, models, dancers wanting professional headshots separate to their group work.
This last week has been no exception, with a number of different clients in for headshot and portfolio work
Nick was in first, somebody we have shot with on numerous occasions, who following a successful run in Scrooge last year has massively changed his appearance ( long new flowing locks ), as such he needed updated images for the agencies he works with.
Always great fun to work with Nick as he has some great character costumes and really gives us the chance to be a bit creative with our set ups.
Following Nick in was a friend he had referred to us, Linda. She is a comedian who creates “characters” and they are absolutely hilarious. I wont spoil the story on this one as ill share it again in a few weeks when her photos have all been finalised as I know she wants to get them out first. All I would say is that I have never laughed so much in a photoshoot……..just brilliant.
Then we had Victoria in, somebody quite new to the modelling scene and looking to build up her portfolio. Spend a good few hours in the studio experimenting with different looks and feel of images. Again a really great set and one she is now sharing with agencies and other modelling sites
And finally, the guys for the promo for Priscilla Queen of the Dessert. This up coming show at the Wolverhampton Grand in May is going to be hilarious. We are already booked to do the program work, a road trip to the studio where the costumes are and the show itself. this week though they needed an image that will be going on the side of the buses in Wolverhampton for a 4 week period – no pressure then. They needed to create a specific image that mirrors the original theatre advert. I wont spoil it by sharing at this stage as its going to be launched in a few weeks, all I would say is that there were feathers everywhere after we’d finished.
We do love working with the Grand, really delighted this week when the marketing manager there said that our images for Sweeney Todd that they had off us the other week are some of the best rehearsal photos they have ever seen. High praise indeed……….( especially when actually my rather highly trained 12 year old son had taken some of them lol )
Great fun week though and does show the variety of things we get to shoot in our studio
